Palak Bhajia

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

For the batter-

  • 1/2 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Pinch of asafoetida (hing)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 2 pinch Baking soda
  • Salt to taste

 Others-

  • 20 baby spinach leaves
  • Chaat masala
  • Finely chopped onion
  • Refined oil for deep frying

Procedure:

Step 1: Combine all the ingredients of batter and make a thin batter as we do not want a thick crust on the spinach leaves.

Step 2: Take oil for frying in a kadhai,dip one leaf at a time, coat it completely with the batter and deep fry in hot oil till bhajias are golden brown in color.Make more bhajias with rest of the spinach leaves and batter

Step 3: Take it out on absorbent paper and top it with chaat masala. Serve with finely chopped onion,pudina chutney or any chutney of your choice.Enjoy !!
